The NCAA is investigating possible financial aid violations by the University of New England that abruptly derailed the academic and athletic plans of six Canadian students this season and could result in sanctions for the hockey program.
The investigation is apparently focusing on whether UNE, as a Division III school, broke NCAA rules that prohibit athletic scholarships for Division III athletes.

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's hockey team held a players-only meeting on Sunday to target what needs to be done to snap its four-game losing streak including 5-3 and 4-3 home losses to UMass Lowell over the weekend.

The Adaptive Sports Program of Ohio (ASPO) in conjunction with Ohio Sled Hockey (OSH) will host 30 hockey players with physical disabilities at its inaugural Sled Hockey Camp in Wooster at the Alice Noble Ice Arena Aug. 11-13.
Participants will be in attendance from across Ohio and Pennsylvania. The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team's Adam Page will be in attendance, as well as Sam Mumper and John Mollica, members of the 2011-12 U.S. National Developmental Sled Hockey Team.
