California Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal collision on the east bound 60 Freeway in Chino.
The collision was reported at 2:23 p.m. on the 60 Freeway at Ramona Avenue, according to CHP information. A man was reported to be un-responsive in his vehicle after his head struck his windshield.

If you noticed the unusually large number of California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers and vehicles stationed in front of the Los Angeles Sentinel Headquarters on Crenshaw Boulevard last Saturday morning and early afternoon, in what may have appeared to be a Sobriety Check Point, it was actually an opportunity for local residents to get professional advice on how to properly restrain their child passengers while driving and to receive over 100 certified child car seats. 10th District Los Angeles City Councilmember Herb J. Wesson, Jr, was on hand to greet many of the community residents who availed themselves to the free inspections and car seats provided by the CHP officers.

ONTARIO A plane full of weary California Highway Patrol officers arrived at Ontario International Airport from Louisiana on Thursday, sleep-deprived but prepared to roll out again if called upon.
More than two weeks ago, the 104 officers, most of whom were part of a special operations team based in the Inland Empire, headed to the Gulf Coast to aid in law enforcement after Hurricane Katrina devastated the region. John Fogerty, CHP Inland Division chief, said that while the living arrangements were cramped and Hurricane Rita complicated matters, officers believed they assisted in making New Orleans safer and had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, including working near dozens of alligators.
