A Fayette County woman has filed a civil lawsuit alleging she was permanently paralyzed because doctors at Highlands Hospital in Connellsville misdiagnosed a bacterial spinal infection when she sought treatment in the emergency room for severe back pain.
Frances Miller and her husband, Paul Miller, of 15 Fourth Ave., Dunbar, filed the medical liability lawsuit Monday in the prothonotary's office. Named as defendants are Highlands Hospital and two physicians, Albert Timothy Saloom of Connellsville and Mary Beth Krafty of Star Junction.
