By the summer of 2012, West Virginia University President Jim Clements will receive $200,000 more in salary than when the university's Board of Governors hired him two years ago. Members of the state Higher Education Policy Commission met in a brief closed session Friday afternoon in South Charleston and approved an annual salary that will pay Clements $550,000 as of June 30 and then a permanent $650,000 salary a year later.
