, 76, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2011 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born Monday, March 4, 1935 in Lancaster to the late S. Robert and Mary (Kauffman) Posey. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Kling, Jr., with whom she would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on January 26th.
She was a member of Palmyra First United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday school and participated in senior choir and kitchen krew. She was a member of Hershey Country Club and was a PIAA swimming official. She enjoyed spending time with her husband in Florida where they enjoyed the weather and a passion for golf. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

Penn State University plans to establish a national Center for the Protection of Children to conduct research and provide treatment to sexual abuse victims from across the country, the new university president said Tuesday.
President Rodney Erickson told USA Today that the center -- to be established at Hershey Medical Center's Children's Hospital -- would use experts assembled from Penn State's main campus and more than 20 branch campuses and special units. He said the center would initially be funded with an estimated $2 million in football bowl revenue sharing from the Big Ten Conference, which includes the Nittany Lions' Jan. 2 TicketCity Bowl game against the University of Houston in Dallas.

He was the husband of Georgianna L. Brown Lisin-ski, with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage this past November 26th. Born in Shamokin, he was the son of the late Stephen and Helen Baranowski Lisinski.

Paterno, 84, made $1,022,794 in total compensation in 2009, according to the most recent tax information released by Penn State on Friday. That was about $87,000 less than what he collected in 2008 but about $4,000 more than what Harold Paz, chief executive officer of the Hershey Medical Center, was paid.

Joan was a 1949 graduate of Johnstown High School and worked as a bank teller for Lancaster County Farmers National Bank, as well as for Midland Insurance. She dedicated a great portion of her time to helping others, volunteering at the following: The Hershey Plaza, The Republican Committee of Lancaster County and the Lancaster County Office of Aging, where she received several commendations.
