Those of us who support MeasureE believe that a well-educated populace benefits the whole, and therefore seek to pass a parcel tax that asks those property owners who are not elderly or disabled to support the schools for the common good. Measure E seeks to maintain the quality of programs that our students currently enjoy - programs that have earned our small district both California Blue Ribbon and National Distinguished School honors.
As Sacramento decides where to cut funding, those of us who value education have united to take our schools and children's future into our own hands. The parcel tax allows Hermosa Beach to control its own fate. I encourage those who believe that our youth are our future to support Measure E.
