Our hearts were saddened by the loss of our loved one, William Henry Gee Sr., affectionately known as "Philip," of Petersburg, on Dec. 9, 2007 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gee was a lifelong resident of Petersburg and was educated in Petersburg Public Schools. He was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1955. He retired from Tidewater Materials Corporation after 29 years of service.

WHITTIER -- The senior management team at Rio Hondo College will see a reshuffling this summer with the hiring of a new vice president, Henry Gee, and the promotion of Chief Financial Officer Teresa Dreyfuss. I've discontinued my show on WCHB to have more time to become part of promising new superintendent Connie Calloway's Cavalry, which I will relish rallying. Meanwhile, there's one hall I confess I wouldn't mind entering. That's the PSL Hall of Fame that longtime coach Andy Rio and I have been trying to get established. (I coached PSL champions and came out of Denby to outrun Olympic champions as a WSU All-American.)
