Second Annual "Through Our Eyes" Exhibit Featuring Art by the Students of The Help Group Opens March 23rd at the James Gray Gallery
SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., March 21, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Help Group is proud to present its second annual Through Our Eyes: A Celebration of Young Artists. The exhibit will run from March 23rd to March 27th at the James Gray Gallery in Santa Monica's Bergamot Station Art Center. Sponsored by the New York based nonprofit Bear Givers, this show will feature a wonderful collection of artwork created by students of The Help Group's Village Glen and Bridgeport schools. A special reception in honor of the artists will take place on Saturday, March 26th from 6 - 9pm.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A major U.S. consumer advocacy group wants to help shape a self-regulatory organization for investment advisers, conceding that it will not likely get its wish of more government examiners on the beat.
Barbara Roper of the Consumer Federation of America told the Senate Banking Committee on Tuesday [July 12] that her group's long struggle to help the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission win additional resources to police investment advisers had failed.

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A pet rescue group is appealing to the public for help defraying veterinary costs for 11 starving puppies that were abandoned after a drug bust southeast of Yakima.
Randy Sperle, director of Rez Dog Rescue, said the puppies as well as two adult dogs were in a horrifically emaciated state when they were found abandoned weeks after a drug bust on Konnowac Pass Road.
