Niagara Street needs work. What could be one of Buffalo's gateway thoroughfares has great stretches that are bleak and offputting. The University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning got its planners and architects together with people from the community and have produced "A Complete Niagara Street: An Urban Design for Buffalo," with the goals of "creating a living street," "strengthening connectivity" and "enhancing public access to the water."
