WASHINGTON, July 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States has filed a complaint under the False Claims Act against Dr. Najam Azmat and the Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, Ga., the Justice Department announced today. The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, alleges that the defendants submitted false or fraudulent claims to federal health care programs, such as Medicare. The defunding legislation proposes to keep tax money from businesses performing abortions.
Planned Parenthood claims abortions are only 3 percent of its services. When Planned Parenthood stops aborting 332,000 preborn infants a year with the defunding, it will not affect tax money for the 97 percent of health care services it claims. The $350 million tax money it receives can be used exclusively for real health care. Poor women will not be deprived of health care. Abortion is not health care.
