Katherine Akers Shelor, 83, of Roanoke, Va., and formerly of Lynchburg, Va., passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, William R. Shelor Jr.; and a daughter, Sandra S. Cole. Surviving are her devoted son, William (Billy) Shelor III and his wife, Kim; granddaughter, Kathy Denice; great- grandson, Gregory Denice; great-great-grandson, William Denice; sister, Phyllis Murphy and husband, Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews.

CHESAPEAKE - , 88, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, in Chesapeake Health Care and Rehab Center. She was born April 23, 1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Orazio and Maria Nicastro. She was a former member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by her brother, Orazio Nicastro Jr. and her sister-in-law, Everdina Nicastro, both of Chesapeake. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.
