• Learning about local environmental health authorities in the United Kingdom: a month-long sabbatical experience.

The four-week Sabbatical Exchange Program in the UK, which was sponsored by National Environmental Health Assn, addressed significant issues regarding environmental health. The program included a congress that highlights deregulation and environmental health management. However, it failed to tackle topics on pollution prevention and environmental crime investigation. A wide range of priority programs has been set by several local health authorities, which focus on food protection, noise, housing, and occupational safety and health.
