Each year during the fourth week of May, I attend a conference in the Turkish port city of Bodrum, which in ancient times was coextensive with the Greek community of Halicarnassus. Here, in a sumptuous resort, the Karia Princess, owned by a gracious Turkish lady Gulcin Imre, who is the wife of my German friend Hans-Hermann Hoppe, the Property and Freedom Society meets for several days. An international body of economists, jurists and journalists - all of whom profess a belief in limited constitutional government - the members are generally well-suited for each other. But there is a division that runs through our membership list. And it is related neither to age nor to language.
