Landy Rivers Jr., a Paterson contractor who helped build John F. Kennedy High School and Barnert Hospital, died Monday at a nursing home in Wayne. He was 100.
Mr. Rivers worked as a bricklayer after coming to Paterson from South Carolina in the 1940s. He operated Landy Rivers Jr. Construction for more than 30 years and also had a variety store on River Street.
