REDLANDS - When it comes to new development in Redlands, while the city may not have as many citrus groves as it did in its heyday, the city itself owns and operates several groves throughout the city.
The city of Redlands maintains between 190 and 200 citrus groves, purchased with Measure O dollars, said Danielle Garcia, a project specialist for the city's Quality of Life Department.

NORRIDGEWOCK, Maine - Linwood LaForrest "Bud" Groves Jr., 86, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 in Chesapeake. A native of Skowhegan, Maine, he retired as a pipefitter/pipe coverer supervisor for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran.
