The Jamaican press reports that [William Rodgers] has been appointed acting president and chief executive officer of Air Jamaica, following the departure of President and CEO Michael Conway, the American who left the airline shortly after the Jamaica Labour Party's general election victory over the People's National Party government.
The airline has added more than 50 additional flights between New York's JFK Airport and Jamaica; and increased its departures from JFK to Grenada to six weekly nonstop flights (every day except Wednesday), up from four weekly direct flights.

Another of its wars, Iraq, has already been lost by the objective standards of who now controls the country and who can be expected to continue controlling it - certainly not the U.S., but Iran, America and Israel's main enemy in the region. The U.S. has engaged itself in a similar role of combatant in a half-dozen smaller conflicts against self-proclaimed enemy bands in Yemen, the Horn of Africa and western North Africa.
It also possesses by far the largest armed forces on earth, which demand from a profoundly indebted nation still more sophisticated equipment and better recruits, since the Americans it is now enlisting, by standard U.S. military criteria of ...
