Ingram touched the lives of hundreds of young persons during his career. If you grew up playing sports on any of the local playgrounds in Fort Lauderdale anywhere from the '60s up to now, you were bound to have run across Coach Ingram. I personally witnessed Ingram the player and Ingram the coach while attending full house games at the Dillard High Panther's Den. He brought the same excitement and enthusiasm when he coached as when he played the game. Although he had successful stints while coaching at Piper, Douglass, and Boyd Anderson High Schools, Panthers blue and gray ran through his veins. His compiled a record 553 wins to 188 losses during his coaching career in Broard County.
