• 'Grandfather Clause' Sought in Yough Redistricting

Several Yough School District parents asked the school board this week to consider a "grandfather clause" that would allow students affected by the redistricting plan to choose their own school. During a special meeting last week, Sutersville parents Nancy Sokol and Mark Ghion said their children were happy attending H.W. Good Elementary School. Their children are among approximately 12 scheduled to transfer to West Newton Elementary School, which is reopening this fall.
