Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center has some more good energy thanks to the Long Island Power Authority. The West Islip hospital has brought on board two electric vehicles donated by LIPA that will be used by hospital security.

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip collaborated with WALK Radio to create a music CD to benefit the hospital's breast cancer services. The CD, titled Yesterday and Today, is a compilation CD featuring artists Martina McBride, Genesis, Enrique Iglesias, Maroon 5, Paula Abdul, Counting Crows, Bryan Adams, Los Lonely Boys, The Calling, Earth, Wind & Fire, Dion, Rod Stewart and Hoobastank.
The CD sales will contribute to the WALK for Women Breast Cancer Fund, which supports the Adelphi Statewide Hotline and Breast Cancer Support Program, the Latina Breast Cancer Support Group, Casting for Recovery and the Breast Cancer Research Program at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
