New Milford senior running back A.J. Scoppa gained 230 yards on 27 carries and ran for one touchdown as he broke the school record for career rushing yardage and rushing touchdowns, but New Milford fell to Bogota, 18-16, in a BCSL Olympic football game Friday night in New Milford. Scoppa's performance gave him 4,350 career rushing yards, surpassing the 4,328 set by Jeff Bliss. His 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter gave him 47 career rushing touchdowns, one more than the previous record, also set by Bliss.
