AHRQ has accepted a notification of voluntary relinquishment from The Georgia Hospital Association Research and Education Foundation Patient Safety Organization (GHA-PSO) of its status as a Patient Safety Organization (PSO). The Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 (Patient Safety Act), Pub. L. 109-41, 42 U.S.C. 299b-21--b-26, provides for the formation of PSOs, which collect, aggregate, and analyze confidential information regarding the quality and safety of health care delivery. KENNESAW, Ga., Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The AT&T Foundation, the philanthropy arm of AT&T*, today announced that Georgia Youth Science & Technology Centers, Inc. (GYSTC) has received funds to support 12 Family Science Nights at locations held within each of the 13 GYSTC Regional Center service areas that are located across Georgia thanks to a $56,000 contribution from the company. Family Science Nights will engage students and their families in "Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics" (STEM) activities. Each event will be part of a standardized set of curriculum activities related to the Georgia Performance Standards, which is required curriculum for all public schools in Georgia and tightly linked to STEM.
