[Rebecca Perkins]: It all starts with the willingness to make an investment in education. I unfortunately don't see people in this state right now being willing to invest money in education. They must realize, however, that it's not just their children's future that's at stake. It's the state's economic future that's at stake.

White reflects light to such an extent that it offers what I consider to be one of the most valuable traits any color has to offer the landscape. I really don't want to get into that argument that white is not a color or the reflection of all colors or wavelengths together. Simply notice what Mother Nature does in the forest.
The dogwoods will soon erupt into bloom, attracting our attention to the glistening, reflective bracts in an otherwise dark forest. When spring arrives in your area with all of its glorious colors - purples, pinks, yellows and reds, the one color guaranteed to catch your eye every time is white. We all need to use white more often.

Boyajian: The market is strong. It's very robust for the top quartile of deals-strong companies with good revenues and a good customer base. It's tough for seed companies or those that don't yet have traction. For them it can be brutal. Top companies can even get some competition going among venture capitalists. The pendulum has swung, and the markets have basically allowed the CEOs or founders to get more favorable terms than they were getting a couple of years ago.

People in the state's research community are eager to learn more about NIH procedures and how to make the agency's officials more aware of what's going on at New Jersey research centers. Says Joe Montemarano, the director of industrial liaison at the Princeton Institute of Science and Technology: "So many wonderful things are happening in New Jersey that I'm sometimes shocked that even people in the industry don't know what's going on here.
