ROWLAND HEIGHTS - An osteopathic doctor is being accused of prescribing large amounts of powerful and addictive drugs to patients who later died from the medication.
Dr. Lisa Tseng is being sued by the parents of Ryan Winter and Riley Russo, who both died last year after drug overdoses. Winter and Russo, both 20, traveled from their south Orange County homes to see Tseng at her Rowland Heights office, Advanced Care AAA Medical on Fullerton Road, according to the July 8 lawsuit.

ROWLAND HEIGHTS - A lottery ticket worth $250,000 was sold at a gas station here three months ago, but is still unclaimed, officials said today.
According to a news release from the California Lottery, the winning MEGA Millions ticket was sold at the Industry Shell gas station, 1325 S. Fullerton Road, in July.

ROWLAND HEIGHTS - A driver was flown to a hospital Wednesday after a crash on the 60 Freeway left her sedan sandwiched between a big rig and a two-axle truck.
The injury collision, which also closed two lanes for an hour, was reported at 5:32 p.m. on the eastbound 60 Freeway at the Fullerton Road offramp.

INDUSTRY - A man was rushed to a hospital with severe injuries Thursday after he was struck by a car while crossing the street, authorities said.
The crash was reported about 4 p.m. at Fullerton Road and San Jose Avenue, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Raymond Enriquez said.

ROWLAND HEIGHTS - A Rowland Heights man angry over his impending eviction shot up his apartment manager's unit with a shotgun Thursday, officials said.
Frank Javier Vales, 34, was arrested Friday and booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in connection with Thursday's 4:02 p.m. attack in the 1900 block of Fullerton Road, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Christopher Blasnek said. No one was injured.

Business owners from stores around the Home Depot at Gale Avenue and Fullerton Road near Rowland Heights reported to deputies on May 26 the men were urinating in public and harassing customers in a parking lot.
