The Lou Gehrig 11-under Red team won the Western New York State Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Championship Tournament in Jamestown on Sunday. The team advanced to the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Warrington, Pa., on Aug. 6-10. The team went 4-0 and outscored opponents, 44-9. Members of the team include: TJ Banaszak, Joey Battaglia, Gavin Collura, Cole Donhauser, Drew Elliott, Michael Gagliano, Mark Gilbert, Justin Jenneve, Nick Kieffer, Andrew Kleinmann, Josh Surowiec and Luke Terry. Todd Banaszak is the coach with assistants Steve Kieffer, Mark Terry and Joe Kleinmann.
