FARMINGTON -- Franklin Memorial Hospital has hired Robin Locke, MD, a medical oncologist/hematologist, as part of its cancer care team.
Locke sees patients in Farmington every Tuesday. She joins cancer care providers Dr. Andrew Hertler, Dr. Richard Krull and Physician Assistant Jamie Bell in staffing the oncology department. All are also affiliated with the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care.

I read your paper every morning before going to the hospital. Your article about Franklin Memorial Hospital is relevant to anyone working in and depending on the services of a rural hospital ("Franklin Memorial set for its last baby," April 7 news story).

FARMINGTON - Franklin Memorial Hospital has been named among the nation's most wired hospitals in the "Top 25 Most Improved" category, according to the 2009 Most Wired Survey Benchmarking Study. The study was released in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks, the journal of the American Hospital Association.
Most Wired" hospitals show better outcomes in patient satisfaction, risk-adjusted mortality rates, and other key quality measures through the use of information technology. Out of more than 5,700 hospitals across the country, more than 1,300 were considered for the award. The Most Wired survey focuses on how hospitals use information technologies for quality, customer service, public health and safety, business processes, and work force issues.
