In some respects it seemed fitting that South Charleston was going for a third consecutive Class AAA football state championship in 2010. NEW HAVEN -- A city man convicted of currency structuring was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation and must forfeit $250,000, federal authorities said in a statement. Nicholas Delmaro, 28, who pleaded guilty in December to one count of currency structuring, also must pay a $5,000 fine, as part of his plea agreement in federal court, the statement said. A father didn't forfeit his constitutional presumption of being a fit parent when he consented to a guardianship for his daughter, the New Hampshire Supreme Court has ruled in reversing judgment. In anticipation of moving out of the country to pursue a business opportunity, the plaintiff consented to his father and step-mother becoming the guardians of his two-year-old daughter. After his father died, the plaintiff petitioned to terminate the guardianship of his step-mother.

The action has been fast and furious at the FIDE world championship match now entering the home stretch in Elista, Russia.
