Patrick J. Socci, associate dean of Fordham University's business school, recently was named dean of Hofstra University's Frank G. Zarb School of Business, in Hempstead. In addition to academic credentials, he brings experience in industry and Wall Street, including jobs at Citibank and a joint venture with Merrill Lynch and the Port Authority. Although Socci will formally take the helm on July 1, he talked with LIBN about the prospect of running Long Island's biggest business school, which last fall had 1,960 undergraduate and 733 graduate students.
