Sidney High School's football program has been designated by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association as a 2009-10 Academic All-Ohio Team due largely to their composite 3.72 GPA.

If the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association has its way, there will be a similar sideline figure for all teams in their season-opening games next month.
Last week the association proposed that head coaches wear a white shirt and tie during their first games. It's a gesture of solidarity to show support for former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel for the positive impact he has had on the 700-plus association members.
