Cameron I. Anderson of Allendale, who helped develop the Foot Locker athletic shoe chain while an executive with the Kinney Shoe Corp., died Saturday. He was 85.
As a teenager, Mr. Anderson sold shoes in the Kinney store his father managed in Wausau, Wis. To his parents' consternation, he left the University of Minnesota a month before graduation to manage his own Kinney store in Madison, Wis., said June Anderson, his wife of 60 years.

KINGS PARK, N.Y. -- Abbey Leonardi of Kennebunkport and Matthew McClintock of Athens earned berths in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships nationals based on their top-10 finishes in Saturday's Northeast Regional.
The Foot Locker competition is for high school-age runners.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Abbey Leonardi of Kennebunkport and Matt McClintock of Athens earned top-15 finishes Saturday at the 2011 Foot Locker Cross Country Championships National Finals at Morley Field in Balboa Park.
Leonardi, a senior at Kennebunk High School, finished fourth in the girls' race, covering the 3.1-mile distance in 17:36, 14 seconds behind race winner Molly Seidel of Hartland, Wis. McClintock, a senior at Madison High School, placed 15th in the boys race in a time of 15:32. Edward Cheserek of Newark, N.J., won the race in 14:52.

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Abbey Leonardi of Kennebunkport finished second Saturday at the 32nd annual Foot Locker Cross Country Championships Northeast Regional for the second straight year and earned the right to return to the national meet.
The senior at Kennebunk High School finished the 5,000-meter Sunken Meadow State Park course with a time of 18 minutes, 2 seconds. She was 11 seconds behind winner Aisling Cuffe from Cornwall Central High School in New York (17:51). The top 10 runners from each regional will compete in the national championship meets in San Diego, Calif., Dec. 11.
