Courts struggle with the tension between national competition laws, on the one hand, and state and local regulation, on the other- especially as traditional governmental functions are privatized and as economic regulation advances beyond its traditional role to address market monitoring. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Keiser University and Florida State College at Jacksonville share a desire to provide quality higher education to their students. Both are regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Together, consistent with their common accreditation, they have provided a quality education to tens of thousands of students. Keiser University filed a lawsuit against FSCJ and two of its executives. Keiser and FSCJ have discussed these matters and agreed to put their differences behind them. The parties have mutually agreed to the dismissal of the lawsuit.
