Entered into rest February 5th, 2010 at his residence, Lt. Col. Phillip E. Hoover, U.S. Army Retired, husband of late Elsie Mae Hoover and Carolyn M. Hoover.
Phillip was a native of Dayton, Ohio. During his senior year at the University of Dayton, he met and married Elsie Mae Stidham. To his delight, he also became a father to Karen Asble. One month after entering the U. S. Army, he was blessed with a baby girl, Susan Elaine, while on tour of duty to Ft. Monmouth, NJ. A year and a half later while serving in Hawaii, he lost a baby girl, Deborah Sue Hoover. She remains buried in Oahu. Two years later while again on tour of duty to Ft. Monmouth, he was delighted with a son, William Jeffery Hoover. During his 26 years of military service he earned the following awards: The National Defense...
