DALLAS, Nov. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwest Airlines is pleased to announce that its Flight Crew Training Instructors, represented by the Transport Workers Union (TWU) 557, voted to ratify an extension to their current agreement. The agreement is for a three-year contract extension through December 2015. The current contract would have become amendable on December 31, 2012. S. Air Force Lt. Vincent Walker, a 2006 graduate of Redlands High School, recently completed the first phase of his flight training, culminating in his first solo flight of his T6 turbo-prop aircraft. Walker graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2010 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the Air Force flight training program.
