Duped and deceived in Germantown On Monday , I dragged my family out into the rain to see our Germantown Board of Mayor and Aldermen at work. At issue was the inclusion in the Smart Growth plan of an approximately 14-acre undeveloped tract near our home. On the city's Web site, the Smart Growth development recommendation shows eight single-family lots bordering Cordova Road. A wooded area with walking trails separates the houses from what looks to be small office buildings along Germantown Parkway and Neshoba Road.
