St. John Fisher College has awarded its ninth annual Justinian Medal to Leo J. Kesselring, a local attorney.
The Justinian Medal recognizes a person's outstanding service and civic leadership in numerous professional, business and charitable endeavors in the community and at the college. It was presented Tuesday by the college and the Justinian Order, which is comprised of 420 judges and attorneys, all Fisher graduates.

St. John Fisher College and Monroe Community College are offering a new dual admission agreement, allowing students to complete three degrees in just five years.
Beginning this fall, MCC students can register for the new 2+2+1 Master of Business Administration program, which will require them to complete two years of prescribed coursework at MCC for an associate degree and finish the remaining three years of coursework at Fisher to obtain their Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees.

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Riki Ellison, Chairman and Founder of the Youth Impact Program (YIP) and a three time Super Bowl winner with the San Francisco 49ers announced that more than 75 YIP campers got to visit the 2010 NFL Buffalo Bills training camp located at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York on July 29th. "It was a very important part of our program to show these young boys the Buffalo Bills. It was not only inspirational but a touch of reality they could feel and see," Ellison said.

St. John Fisher College has received a $2 million gift from Victor E. Salerno, CEO of O'Connell Electric and vice chair of the college's board of trustees.
The gift will be used to build a new home for the Ronald L. Bittner School of Business, called the Victor E. Salerno Center for American Enterprise. This is the largest gift the college has ever received from an alumnus.

PRESQUE ISLE - Brandon Hall had 27 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead the Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball team to a 97-94 overtime victory over Fisher College Sunday in the championship game of the Star City Classic.
This marked the second straight year these teams have met in the final, and the second straight year the final was decided in overtime. Fisher defeated MMA last year.

Dr. David G. Martin has been appointed dean of the Ronald L. Bittner School of Business at St. John Fisher College.
Martin comes to Fisher from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, where he served as associate dean of the School of Business.

St. John Fisher College President Donald E. Bain on Wednesday responded to questions from a panel of attorneys about the viability of a law school in Rochester, and the health of the market for graduating JD students.
The college is proposing construction of a law school in Downtown Rochester, and early last year State Sen. Joseph Robach, R-Greece, secured $2.25 million in state funding for the project.
