Briana Lynch scored the game-tying goal with 8:47 remaining in regulation as well as the game-winner 2:07 into overtime, keying The College of Wooster field hockey team's 3-2 comeback victory over host Kenyon College.
Kenyon (5-5, 4-1 NCAC) had bolted out to a 2-0 halftime lead, behind a pair of scores just 3:06 apart fairly late in the opening stanza.

The thought of following your older sibling and doing whatever he or she is ingrained in everyone who's ever had an older sibling. With three sets of sisters running around the field hockey compound at Leavitt Area High School these days -- and excelling at their sports -- you won't hear anyone in the green and white complaining much about that.
Kayla and Sadie Royer, Casey and Cheryl Fichter and Morgan and Emily Shaw all cracked the Hornets' roster this season, creating the unique family dynamic on an already tradition-rich, familial squad.

YARMOUTH -- Katherine Millett's offensive exploits during her four-year field hockey career at North Yarmouth Academy are well- documented. In four years, the senior scored 96 goals, many in key situations, and through three years had earned four regional titles with the team and two state championships.
Saturday, her defensive efforts secured for the Panthers a third Class C crown in four seasons.

From staff reports Kim Legen scored 17 points, including a mid- range jumper in the final seconds to force overtime, to lead the Law girls' basketball team to a 51-45 victory over Lyman Hall Tuesday in Southern Connecticut Conference interdivision play at Milford.
Sam Murphy chipped in with 14 points for Law (3-0). Taylor Mierzejewski had 16 points for Lyman Hall (0-3).

The Bowdoin College women's athletic program began the academic year with an NCAA Division III national title in field hockey. The Polar Bears' lacrosse team will try to end the year with another title at this weekend's Division III Final Four.
