By Register Staff WEST HAVEN -- An initiative included in the American Jobs Act would make Connecticut eligible for $185 million in grants for kindergarten-grade 12 schools, and $38 million for community colleges, U.S. Rep. Rosa L. DeLauro said Wednesday at West Haven High School.
DeLauro, D-3, appeared to discuss the Fix America's Schools Today Act, which she said would allow for school renovations that would help improve the quality of schools and save money through efficiency upgrades.
