• Perdue Sold Land to Developer Undergoing Investigation

State Treasurer John Perdue and his wife, Robin, sold property in Mason County in late December to Charleston developer Douglas E. Pauley, who's now being investigated by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI, property records show. Pauley, a Perdue campaign donor, is using the 11-acre property to build a 32-unit apartment complex for senior citizens and the handicapped. Pauley received $3.67 million in federal stimulus funding for the project through the West Virginia Housing Development Fund.
