Sodexo Inc. of Gaithersburg, a provider of food and facilities management services, said it won a competitive contract, valued at up to $926 million, to provide food services at 31 Marine Corps mess halls in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, D.C., over an eight-year period But a report published by the Reuters news agency said the contract actually represented a partial loss for Sodexo, as another company, Superior Services of Fresno, Calif., was chosen to serve 20 Marine Corps mess halls on the West Coast, which were formerly served by Sodexo.
