Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis celebrated a successful fundraising event with the fourth annual Sam's Club Eyewitness News Everywhere Celebrity Putt-Putt Tournament on June 28.
More than $25,000 was raised for Ronald McDonald House of Memphis in one day as more than 150 people attended the event at Golf and Games Family Park. Joining host ABC-24/CW-30's Cameron Harper were other media personalities including 2003 PGA Championship winner Shaun Micheel, ABC-24/CW-30's Terrance Bates, Dee Griffin, Rae Lyn Hartley, Brian Heap, Darryl Hood, Ursula Jones and Mark Walden, 98.9 Kim FM's Pam McKelvy, Henry Nelson and Tom Prestigiacomo, WXMX-FM 98.1 The Max's Danni Bruns, Soul Classics 103.5's Earl Augustus and Downtown Jackson Brown, WGKX-FM KIX 106's Young and Elder.

Using dashboard camera video, eyewitness statements, autopsies and other evidence, Arkansas investigators have pieced together a chilling scene in which a 16-year-old shot West Memphis Police Officer Bill Evans 14 times and Sgt. Brandon Paudert 11 times.
A spokesman for the Arkansas State Police would not comment on the department's sweeping investigation of the violent May 20 clash along Interstate 40 that left both officers dead. But those details, and others, emerged in a preliminary report shared with Paudert's father, West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert.

Former University of Memphis student Devin Jefferson recruited three high school friends to carry out a robbery that resulted in the shooting death of Tiger football player Taylor Bradford, one of those friends told a jury Wednesday.
In the first eyewitness account of the much-publicized 2007 on- campus killing , Daeshawn Tate, who also is charged, told the Criminal Court jury that Jefferson kept in constant cell phone contact with him right up to the moments when the robbery attempt unfolded on Sept. 30, 2007.

Westhaven Elementary school teacher Jan Langford was surprised in her classroom with a check for $500 from Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union (MATCU).
Langford, a resident of Nesbit, was the recent winner of the "One Class At A Time" grant designed by MATCU and Eyewitness News to aid deserving teachers in the Mid-South with $500 towards classroom enhancements and special projects. Eyewitness News personalities Cameron Harper and Dee Griffin; Carlos Webb, MATCU'S president and CEO; and Smarty, MATCU's ATM mascot, burst into the classroom with balloons and an oversized check to surprise Langford and her students.

Martino Johnson didn't just shoot and kill Terrelle Beasley after a car accident Monday afternoon, according to Memphis police.
He also pointed the .40-caliber pistol at an eyewitness trying to call 911, threatening to shoot that man as well, according to a police affidavit filed Wednesday.
