The Missouri Supreme Court has fleshed out the standards for extraordinary remedies based on irreparable harm to a party.
The high court granted a permanent writ of prohibition to a Joplin woman who was added as a defendant to a suit over a 2006 car crash. At the time of the crash, her husband was driving and she sat in the passenger seat.
