Most buildings have been cleared after a suspected gas leak prompted officials to cancel classes this afternoon at the Community College of Allegheny County`s campus in the North Side.
Officials evacuated buildings at the Allegheny Campus as a precaution about 1:30 p.m. when there was an odor of what some thought was natural gas, spokesman David Hoovler said in a release.

Heartwood College will once again offer Art Camp and evening classes beginning July 1.
Evening classes for adults will be held Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. July 1 through Aug. 12 in ceramics, photography, jewelry and metalsmithing and polymer clay. Heartwood also offers a wide variety of one-week daytime classes for adults throughout the summer.

A brush fire burning in the Crafton Hills has spread to more than 200 acres, has forced Crafton Hills College to cancel Wednesday evening classes, evacuate the campus and could potentially threaten houses in Mentone, fire officials said.
The blaze, which started near Chapman Heights Road, was reported at 4:49 p.m. behind Yucaipa High School.
