Re the recent articles on animal hoarding: I feel that there would be less hoarding and abandoning of animals if our city shelters were of the no-kill type.
There are privately run no-kill shelters but they are always full and the waiting lists are long. I have friends who have volunteered at the city-run shelters but quit because they couldn't handle the large number of daily euthanasia victims.
