Every now and then one big issue grabs the stock and bond markets, causing traders in both commodities to obsess like crazy. That issue for the past month or so seems to be the economic situation going on in Greece and its resultant contagion in the European Union and the United States. Basically, what this all revolves around is Greece's propensity to spend more than it takes in, resulting in a budget deficit in 2009 that equaled 13.6 percent of its gross domestic product.
