I've been teaching for almost 30 years. I've taught at the university level, the community college level and at the secondary level. I also taught overseas for several years in the European public school system. I now teach here in Rialto, where I'm watching education grind slowly to a halt.

VIRGINIA BEACH - , 84, known as "Chip" to many friends and loved ones, lost his courageous battle with cancer April 29, 2007, at his home in Virginia Beach. He was born Jan. 9, 1923, in New York City, to the late William and Tatiana (Kwas) Chipok. He was raised in New York City, graduated from New York City public schools as an outstanding high school athlete, and attended The College of William and Mary under an athletic scholarship, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and master's degrees in Education.
