The Boyd family which includes 11 children has owned and operated one of Broward County's most respected funeral home operations for almost four decades, beginning in 1971. The Boyd's have a long and rich family tradition in the funeral home business stemming back to the fifties. James C. Boyd, Sr. worked for his father at the family business in Palatka, Fla. from 1957 to 1964 and co-established D. A. Boyd & Sons Funeral Home in Winter Haven, Fla. along with his late brother John A.   • TOPSHAM - Wright-Pierce, a New England-based civil and environmental engineering firm with offices in Portland and Topsham, has announced the recipients of the 2006 Wright-Pierce College Scholarship Program.
