, 48, of Elizabethtown, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Springfield, OH, he was the son of Catharine (Witmer) Brown of Elizabethtown and the late Thomas Brown. He was the husband of Ruth M. (Kuhn) Brown of Elizabethtown. They were married for 16 years in July 2010.
Eric was a 1980 graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School. He was employed by Home Climates, Inc., Elizabethtown where he worked as an installer. He was a member of the Elizabethtown Alliance Church where he served as a trustee. Eric was a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and an avid Ohio State fan. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Legislation to monitor the prescription and dispensing of certain controlled substances is being proposed by Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman. One of his first program bills, he said the bill will address the growing wave of prescription drug abuse across New York state and in Monroe County.
The "Internet System for Tracking Over-Prescribing" Act, or "I- STOP," would create an online database, providing doctors and pharmacists with a centralized information system that will help avoid over-prescribing, shut down prescription drug trafficking, and identify and treat patients who seek to abuse prescription drugs.

BYRON -- Eric Thaddeus Roderick, 60, of East Shore Drive in Byron passed away Friday, Aug. 19, at his home with his loving family and friends by his side.
He was born in Rumford, June 26, 1951, a son of Thaddeus Hector Roderick and Joan Margaret (Mercier) Roderick.
