NEW YORK, Dec. 3 /U.S. Newswire/ -- On the morning of Nov. 19 Beijing time an extraordinary moment in the history of journalism occurred. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was served notice that its unchallenged hold over the hearts and minds of the Chinese people had come to an end. The Chinese language newspaper The Epoch Times published the first of "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party." These commentaries begin a discussion with the millions of readers of the Chinese language editions of The Epoch Times around the world about the imminent end of the CCP. The commentaries argue that the Chinese people need to understand the true history of the CCP and the reasons for its inevitable demise.

More than 3 million members of the Chinese Communist Party have publicly renounced their membership through a dissident Web site over the past six months, adherents of the banned Falun Gong spiritual movement said. Every week up to 20,000 people post statements on a Web site set up by the Epoch Times, an unofficial mouthpiece of the Falun Gong, announcing that they are quitting the Chinese Communist Party.
