WORK ON NAVY CONTRACT TO HAPPEN IN PORTSMOUTH Work on a multimillion-dollar Navy contract will take place in Portsmouth at Engineering Services Network Inc. The engineering company, based in Arlington, announced Wednesday that it was awarded a contract from the Navy valued at $70 million for engineering, logistics and technical support for government-managed communications systems and networks. Half of the work will be done in Portsmouth and the other half in Charleston, S.C. The contract is initially worth $9.5 million, with options to bring the cumulative value to nearly $70 million over seven years, the company said.

ENGINEERING OFFICE TO WORK ON $5.8 MILLION CONTRACT Engineering Services Network Inc., an Arlington-based engineering and technology company with a Chesapeake office, has been awarded a contract potentially worth $5.8 million over five years to support the Naval Network Warfare Command. Most of the work will be handled by the local office, said Paul Barber, vice president and director of the company's southeastern region. The work involves supporting the command's global communication systems and networks, including ship- to-ship, ship-to-shore and satellite networks.
