DAYTON -- Estimates from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are that just 12.5 percent of electronics waste in the U.S. is offered for recycling each year. But the volume is growing quickly as word gets around. In Montgomery County, the Solid Waste District received 157 tons of electronic waste in 2005, 191 tons in 2006 and as of November, accepted 275 tons, said John Woodman, community program specialist with the district.
