  • Opposed to housing proposal in Paramus JDME Acquisitions has requested a number of permits and waivers in reference to its Enchantment at Paramus proposal for 144 housing units off Soldier Hill Road. The state Department of Environmental Protection rejected a freshwater wetlands and stream encroachment permit/waiver application that had been filed earlier in the year. JDME has filed again and has also requested a hardship waiver.

  • NEW: A three-judge appellate court determined earlier this month that developer ANM should have applied for a DEP permit in 2005 when it built a 100-foot-long, 17-foot-high retaining wall for a parking lot within 50 feet of the Pascack Brook.
